Stones are bought very carefully making sure that the lot is without any treatment. But, in case the lot has a stone with some treatment in it, in 99% of the cases the treatment shall be exposed during the cutting process. It is very rare that sometimes a slight treatment is not identified and a stone is sold as an untreated stone, but the chances of that are very slim.
